Hello! I’m Jordan Laskey Professional Auto Technician, Grassroots Driver, And Dad!
The Back Story
This journey began with a deep passion for cars and racing, particularly Mustangs. I’ve always wanted to connect with the car, drive at my fastest, and experience the thrill of a high-performance machine. However, after graduating from college and starting out as a technician at a dealership, I quickly learned that racing on a budget wasn’t realistic, and I didn’t have access to wheel-to-wheel racing opportunities. That’s when I discovered autocross.
Autocross offered an affordable way to learn car control, refine car setup, understand course design, and identify weak points in my builds. It provided the perfect opportunity to push myself and improve as a driver—or so I thought.
What autocross truly gave me, however, was much more than just skill development. It introduced me to a community of new friends, the joy of helping new drivers get into the sport, and the excitement of seeing the faces of those who requested rides. Their expressions after the experience were priceless, and it was in those moments that I saw the same spark of passion that I’ve grown to love and cherish.
The Goal!
My goal is to have fun while working with sponsors to promote and advertise their products. I aim to expand my reach by attending events outside my state, exploring new locations, and connecting with people in the automotive community. Events such as Ponies in the Smokies, Holly Ford Fest, SCCA Solo Nationals and Gridlife provide the perfect opportunity to do this.
In addition to attending these events, I am committed to enhancing my driving skills and automotive knowledge. As I progress, I will make new connections and continue to grow my network. By utilizing my ASE certification and Michigan state automotive certification, I plan to offer installation instructions, provide detailed product feedback, and create instructional videos on my YouTube channel. This platform will be key to promoting and growing my presence in the automotive space.
Through my YouTube channel, I will produce content that includes installation guides, reviews, and how-to videos. By consistently delivering high-quality, informative content, I will engage both my audience and potential sponsors. I will also collaborate with sponsors to incorporate their products into my content, ensuring their visibility while showcasing my expertise.
Attending events like Ponies in the Smokies, Holly Ford Fest, SCCA Solo Nationals and Gridlife will allow me to showcase my skills, meet new people, and explore different regions of the country. These experiences will also provide valuable content for my YouTube channel, further connecting me with automotive enthusiasts and industry leaders.

The Horse With No Name!
The Horse With No Name!
2012 Ford Mustang GT
Appearance: The whole goal was to replicate the 2012 Boss 302 Mustang while maintaining a sleek OEM+ build. It features the Boss 302/GT-CS front and rear lower valance pieces, Ford Racing front tow hook assembly, GT500 rear trunk spoiler, Boss 302 Alcantara steering wheel, Boss 302 side pipes, Corbeau front seats, slides, and harness bar. Additionally, it includes a custom Screaming Cone shift knob.
Performance: The engine is a mostly stock internal 5.0 Coyote with upgrades to the timing chain system using Boss 302 tensioners, chains, and guides for added reliability; an upgraded oil pump gear and crank gear from MMR; Long Tube headers from LTH; an Airaid cold air intake; and a JLT 3.0 oil catch can setup. The transmission is also a stock MT-82 with an MGW X-Spec shifter assembly, a stainless steel clutch feed line, a Metco driveshaft safety loop, an aluminum one-piece driveshaft, and 3.73 Ford Racing gears in the rear axle.
Suspension: The suspension setup is simple for now, retaining the factory McPherson strut setup up front with upgraded Koni Yellow struts, H&R road racing springs, and Maximum Motorsports caster camber plates. The Strano Performance three-way adjustable front sway bar and Whiteline front sway bar end links complete the front configuration. At the rear, the setup still consists of the panhard bar configuration with a Maximum Motorsports adjustable panhard bar, Koni Yellow shocks, H&R road racing springs, a Steeda three-way adjustable rear sway bar, and BMR lower control arms.
Wheels & Brakes: I have four sets of wheel setups that get rotated depending on the type of driving. All four sets are 19x11. This is achieved by using ARP extended lug studs and different spacers for the varying offsets of the rims. Two sets are from Ford Racing, one from LMR, and one economical set from XXR. I have Falken RT660s, Bridgestone RE71RS, and Nitto NT555 G2s, all in 305/30/19 for autocross and street driving. I also have one set mounted with 295/30/19 Michelin slicks for HPDE days. The front brakes are 6-piston Brembo fixed calipers from a 2015 Ford Mustang, paired with 2013 GT500 factory rotors and EBC Blue Stuff pads for a linear braking feel. Stainless steel brake lines are installed at all four corners with Castrol SRF brake fluid. The rear setup consists of the stock calipers with EBC Blue Stuff pads and factory rotors.
